About the Author

Richard E. Hyman

Richard grew up in Connecticut, where in high school he enjoyed writing and was a sports reporter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Furman University of South Carolina, where he taught underprivileged children how to swim and wrote a weekly environmental column for the school newspaper.

Richard also studied environmental engineering, non-fiction writing, and business at Yale, Georgetown, and Fairfield Universities.

During summer jobs, including an internship in Washington, D.C. at NASA headquarters working for Rusty Schweickart, lunar module pilot for Apollo 9, Richard assisted in the Office of Applications, which was responsible for transferring NASA technology to the private sector.

His career has been in business. He’s held management positions in terrestrial and space-based telecommunications companies, as well as a variety of other technology businesses including remote sensing, biotechnology, software, and Internet services.

Frogmen is Richard’s first book. Several other projects are currently in development.
